A Celebration of Imperfection

Conceived in Stockholm and born in Melbourne, Växa is a contemporary jewellery label by self-taught Swedish designer, Zenobia Hamrin.

Translating to ‘growth’ in Swedish, Växa is a true celebration of our collective journey and those who are shameless works in progress. Built on a belief that one should chase growth over perfection, each piece of Växa stays true to Zenobia’s design ethos of fucking things up, just a little bit. United by imperfection, the collection is made up of honest and curiously beautiful pieces, all designed to do life with you. Modern talismans in their own right, each piece of Växa calls in a bold reassurance and an appreciation for the unfinished; serving as daily reminders of your inherent zsa zsa zsu.

With designs driven by emotion and rooted in sustainable practice, Växa uses locally sourced materials and lost wax casting methods to create the perfectly flawed pieces the brand is becoming internationally renowned for.

A work in progress herself, Zenobia sees Växa as a personal reminder to abandon the insecurities linked to society's obsession with perfectionism. Her most significant moments of growth have been found in between the supreme clarity and crippling self-doubt she experienced upon leaving her native, Sweden, to unexpectedly starting a new life in Australia. It was with no formal training and the resilience born from those magically conflicting moments that led to the launch of Växa in 2019.

“If I was a perfectionist I’d be fucked,” says Zenobia, “In jewellery, I’ve found satisfaction in imperfection and it’s through Växa that I’m learning to apply this to my own life.”

We hope you do too.
